N Chandra Babu Naidu On Population: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday (October 21) met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Reiterating Chandrababu Naidu's appeal, he said that producing more children is a 'solution'.
Andhra Pradesh CM raised the issue of the state's 'aging population', while Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin talked about couples raising '16 children' as a 'solution' to the delimitation exercise that will take place by 2026. Politics is also at its peak regarding the matter. At the same time, both the leaders are also being protected. Congress came in defense of MK Stalin while TDP came in defense of Chandrababu Naidu.
What did Congress say in defense of MK Stalin?
Congress spokesperson Mohan Kumar Mangalam said, “What he said is about justice and not about politics. What he means is that if BJP brings delimitation in 2026, seats will increase in every state. When our representation decreases, how will we be able to convey our voice to the people? A solution has to be found regarding this. There should be no injustice to those who followed family planning and reduced the population. MK Stalin has said as a proverb that no one is saying to have 16 children.”
Apart from this, Congress leader Udit Raj said, “The color of the Sangh has gone to Chandrababu Naidu. This country is facing the problem of increasing population and they are talking about increasing the population. BJP accuses Muslim community, will it accuse Naidu? All these are contradictory things.”
What did TDP say in defense of Chandrababu Naidu?
Whereas TDP spokesperson Jyotsna Tirunagari said, “Chandrababu Naidu had said in 94-95 that you should reduce your population. According to the current situation, we need working people.
