Why are 1000 women and children being evacuated from Gaza amid Israeli attacks? Preparing to send to Europe

The conflict in Gaza between Hamas and the Israeli army is worsening. Life of common people has become difficult. A few months ago, a case of polio was reported in Gaza, after which a polio campaign was also conducted in Gaza with the help of the UN and many countries. Under US pressure, the Israeli military refrained from airstrikes during the polio campaign. The massacre is still not stopping due to continuous attacks in Gaza. In view of the worsening situation, the World Health Organization has ordered the immediate evacuation of 1000 women and children from Gaza. These will be taken to Europe. For this, a deal has also been made between WHO and Israel.

Hans Kluge, head of the World Health Organization's Europe branch, said 1,000 women and children in need of medical care would soon be evacuated from Gaza to Europe. In an interview with AFP, he said Israel is committed to the medical evacuation of more than 1,000 people to the EU in the next few months. He further said that the evacuation route will be facilitated by WHO and concerned European countries.

WHO Europe has shifted 600 people from Gaza under emergency medical conditions to seven European countries since the war began in Gaza in October 2023.

Israel expressed grief over the death of Lebanese soldiers

The Israeli army on Monday expressed regret over the killing of three Lebanese soldiers in an attack a day earlier in southern Lebanon, saying it was not fighting the country's army. Israel said its troops thought they were targeting a vehicle belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah. Last week, Hezbollah said it was entering a new phase in its fight against invading Israeli troops after the killing of top Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza. Sinwar was the main conspirator of the attack on southern Israel on October 7 last year, after which a fierce war started.

Israeli commander killed in Gaza

The Israeli army has confirmed the death of a senior officer by an explosive device in the Gaza Strip. Colonel Ehsan Daxa, commander of the 401st “Iron Tracks” Brigade, “was killed during fighting in northern Gaza,” the army said in a statement. The deceased, Daxa, 41, was a resident of the Druze town of Daliyat al-Karmel on Mount Carmel in northern Israel. The army said that during the incident, three other officers were injured, one of them seriously. All of whom were taken to hospital.
