$4 billion in cost of Egypt’s agricultural exports within 10 months

Arab Finance: Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, received a report from Dr. Mohamed Al-Mansi, Head of Agricultural Quarantine, about the total Agricultural exportsDuring the period from January 1, 2024 until October 16, it exceeded 6.9 million tons of agricultural products, worth approximately $4 billion and $37 million, an increase of $980 million and more than 574 thousand tons over the same period last year.

The report indicated that the most important agricultural exports are citrus fruits, potatoes, onions, grapes, beans, potatoes, mango, tomatoes, garlic, strawberries, guava, and pomegranates. The total agricultural exports of citrus fruits reached 2 million 274 thousand 295 tons, in addition to the export of 973 tons. One thousand 130 tons of fresh potatoes, occupying second place in agricultural exports after citrus fruits, while 281 thousand and 785 tons of onions were exported, occupying third place in exports, and beans (fresh + dry), occupying fourth place with a total of 225 thousand and 35 tons, and occupying the third place in exports. Grapes ranked fifth with a total of 179,993 tons, potatoes ranked sixth in agricultural exports with a total of 153,736 tons, while mangoes ranked seventh in exports with a total of 103,033 tons, while Egypt’s pomegranate exports ranked eighth with a total A quantity of 60,624 tons, while Egypt’s exports of tomatoes ranked ninth with a total of 37,146 tons, followed in tenth place by garlic, with a total of 24,237 tons, while strawberries ranked eleventh in exports, with a total quantity of 21,295 tons. While guava ranked last in exports, with a total of 12,720 tons.
