Farouk pointed out that the state, represented by the Ministry’s General Authority for Supply Commodities, takes into account all cost elements and production inputs for manufacturing subsidized local bread, including the price of diesel and gas, in light of the decisions of the Automatic Pricing Committee for Petroleum Products.
Farouk Ali confirmed that the citizen gets subsidized local bread through the ration card at a price of 20 piasters, and that the state continues to bear the difference in the cost of production and pay it to bakery owners through the Supply Commodities Authority.
