Batsman who is out of Indian team can make a comeback in India 'A', may get a chance for Australia tour

New Delhi. Wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan, who was dropped from the Central Contact List of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) earlier this year, is likely to make a comeback in the India A team. Kishan was dropped from the central contract by BCCI for giving priority to IPL (Indian Premier League) over domestic cricket.

Kishan is leading Jharkhand on its return to domestic cricket this season. Apart from two four-day 'Tests' against Australia A, he is set to participate in an 'intra-squad' practice match with the senior team. Two 'Tests' against Australia A will be held from October 31 to November 3 at Mackay and then from November 7 to 10 at MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground).

Although BCCI has not announced the team yet, either Ruturaj Gaikwad or Abhimanyu Easwaran is expected to lead the team. Abhimanyu has scored four centuries in his last four first-class matches. He can join the senior team as an alternative opening batsman. Because captain Rohit Sharma will take a break during one of the first two test matches due to personal reasons.
