However the fire was soon brought under control. After this the police arrested him.

According to news agency AFP, the person's name is Atsunobu Usuda. The man is 49 years old and is a resident of Saitama city. After attacking the Prime Minister's house, he also threw a smoke grenade towards the police. The Japanese PM's house is only 15 minutes away from the party office. There is no report of anyone being injured in the incident. The party did not give any statement on this attack.
