The patient was wrongly treated at the clinic in Joypurhat


Joypurhat: A patient named Ruma Begum (27) died after an operation at the private Bandhan Clinic and Diagnostic Center in Joypurhat. Relatives alleged that the patient died due to wrong operation.

The incident took place at the clinic in East Bazar area of ​​the district city on Friday (October 18) night. After the incident, the police went and reported the situation and sent the body to Joypurhat 250-bed general hospital morgue.

Deceased Ruma Begum (27) is the wife of Shamim Hossain Sakib of Noorpur Mridhapara village of Vadsa Union of Sadar Upazila. He was admitted to the clinic for a tonsil operation.

Inspector (Investigation) of Joypurhat Police Station Mizanur Rahman said, in view of the complaint of the relatives of the deceased, we did not find the doctor at the spot. I have prepared the post mortem report. The body was taken to the General Hospital mortuary. Necessary legal action will be taken later.

According to the deceased's relatives, clinic and police sources, Ruma Begum was admitted for tonsil operation at 2 pm on Friday. He was taken to the operation theater around 7:30 pm. Dr. Rangpur Medical College and Hospital retired associate professor. Dr. Asafuddaula and retired medical officer of Joypurhat District Hospital. The patient was operated under the supervision of Tanveer Hossain. After the operation, the patient is put to bed unconscious. The patient convulsed and died soon after being admitted to bed.

Bandhan Clinic and Diagnostic Center authorities were not available to comment on the incident on Friday night. Later, the manager of that clinic, Sajib Bashak, said on the mobile phone that the matter has been compromised.

Rosna Begum, the mother of deceased Ruma, said while crying that the doctor was from Rangpur. He saw my daughter and said that she has to have an operation. 12 thousand will be required. That's what we want to give. Later that night he was taken to the operation room. An hour later, he was put to bed in an unconscious state. After a while my daughter started palpitating and the clinic people sent me out. Later I saw that my daughter was gone. My daughter was killed by a botched operation.

Ruma's elder sister Tahmina Begum said that after the operation of the tonsils, the sister was put in a bed in a state of unconsciousness. He staggered to death there. My sister died because of a wrong operation. Couldn't do the operation, the doctor killed him.

Dr. called the director of the clinic by mobile phone. When talking to Irene Sultana, she said, I am not the director but I sit there. I don't want to say anything about it. Then he cut the call.
