Prayagraj News: Allahabad High Court has made a scathing comment on the absence of teachers in primary schools of UP. The High Court has said that due to teachers being absent from schools, the roots of primary education are becoming hollow and this affects the future of children. According to the court, strict legal action should be taken against such teachers. In one such case, the High Court has ordered the departmental officer to investigate and take appropriate action.

The High Court has given this comment while rejecting the petition of Bulandshahr's assistant teacher Poonam Rani. The case was heard in the single bench of Justice Ajay Bhanot. Poonam Rani had challenged her transfer in Allahabad High Court. However, the petition was filed almost three years after the transfer. Along with this, no satisfactory explanation was given for late filing of the petition.

The High Court, while giving its verdict in this case, has said that transfer is a part of service. No employee has the right to remain at a particular place indefinitely. The court has said that there is no malice or violation of any statutory provision in Poonam Rani's case. Apart from this, complaints are also being received that due to transfer, Poonam Rani is not doing her work honestly and responsibly. She is leaving school early. Not being in school during teacher's time and not studying responsibly has a negative impact on the future of children. Due to this, the roots of primary education become hollow. Strict action should be taken in such a case.
