Suman Mia (48), Senior Vice President of Brahmanbaria District Jubo League, was arrested by the members of the Joint Force. He was arrested from Madhyapara area on Friday (October 18) night. A foreign pistol and three rounds of cartridges and one cartridge shell were recovered from him.
Suman Mia is the son of the municipal Awami League president Muslim Mia, a resident of Madhyapara, district town. He was the former GS of Brahmanbaria Government College Student Union.
Officer-in-charge of Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station Mozaffar Hossain confirmed the truth of the incident and said that preparations are underway to file a case against Sumon Mia under the Arms Act. He will be sent to court after filing the case.
