Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Karmayogi Week i.e. National Teaching Week at the Dr. Ambedkar International Center in New Delhi on Saturday. Its objective is to promote lifelong learning among all civil servants and teach them to align themselves with national goals.
According to the information given by the Prime Minister's Office, the National Education Week will be the biggest event of its kind, providing new momentum towards personal and organizational capacity development for public servants. This initiative will encourage a new commitment to learning and development. The objective of National Teaching Week is also to convey a government message. According to the PMO, the program will be dedicated to learning through various forms of engagement of individual participants and ministries, departments and organizations.
During this period, each Karmayogi will commit to achieving the target of at least 4 hours of competency-based education. Participants can complete the target hours through iGOT modules and webinars conducted by eminent personalities etc.
Started four years ago
Mission Karmayogi was launched in September 2020 and has seen significant progress since then. It envisions a future-proof civil service rooted in the Indian ethos with a global perspective. During this period, ministries, departments and organizations organize seminars and workshops to enhance sector-specific competencies.
