Air India-Vistara Merger: Tata Group-owned Air India and Singapore airline Vistara are going to merge on November 12. Even after this, Vistara flights will continue to fly under its own name as before. Also, passengers will get all the facilities smoothly. This will not have any impact on the service provided to passengers.

Even after the merger of Vistara, its crew members will continue to serve Vistara flights as before. Vistara's route and schedule will also remain the same as before. All the facilities available in Vistara will also be the same as before. The food menu and cutlery will also remain the same.

What does the code change mean?

After the merger, Vistara will be run by Tata Group owned Air India. Therefore, the Vistara code will change from November 12. Now AI2 will be installed in Vistara's code. That means if Vistara flight code is UK 955 then it will become AI 2955. This has been done for the ease of functioning of the airline.

Maharaja Club members will be frequent flyers

Till now, Vistara had a loyalty program called Club Vistara for frequent flyers and Air India had a loyalty program called Flying Returns. At the time of the merger, the members of Club Vistara will be considered a part of Flying Returns, but soon thereafter all the members of Flying Returns will be considered members of the newly formed Maharaja Club.

On this, Air India says that after the merger it will be able to provide its services on 90 routes. Also, the experience of passengers will remain the same as before. Their facilities will be provided smoothly and there will be no shortage in it.
