Israel claims that the head of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, has been killed. However, no comment was received from Hamas.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari spoke to media in Tel Aviv about Sinwar's death.
Hagari said in Hebrew that Israeli forces spotted three men fleeing from one house to another in the Tal El Sultan area of ​​Rafah. Then Sinwar was killed.
Hagari showed a video showing Sinwar approaching an IDF drone. He had a mask on his face. There was also an injury to the hand.

He said Sinwar had a gun and 40,000 shekels (Israeli currency) with him. He was running away and we killed him.
According to Hagari, the IDF confirmed traces of Sinwar's previous location. Sinwar's DNA was found in a tunnel near the killing of six Israeli hostages a month earlier, he said.
In an earlier statement, the IDF said that Israel planned and carried out the attack on October 7 last year. He was responsible for the killing and hostage taking of many Israelis.
It also says that for the past year Gazan civilians have been hiding in Hamas tunnels, up and down Gaza. He has been terminated.
