Indian-origin industrialist Pankaj Oswal has filed an appeal in the United Nations against UNGADA. According to media reports, he has claimed that his 26-year-old daughter Vasundhara Oswal has been illegally detained in Uganda for the last 17 days. He is being treated badly there.
Pankaj has filed an appeal before the United Nations Working Group saying that he is not able to contact Vasundhara nor is she getting legal help. Till now no official of the Government of India or the UN has commented on this matter.
Pankaj Oswal's daughter is the executive director of PRO Industries and handles the affairs of the company. He also has business in Uganda.
In a post on social media, information about Vasandhura's illegal detention has been given from her account. It has been said that Vasundhara's phone has been snatched away due to which no one is able to contact her. The picture is taken from Instagram.
There is blood and dirt on the floor. It was claimed that Vasundhara was being tortured.
Arrested from Oswal's plant itself According to reports, Vasundhara was caught by around 20 armed men from Oswal's plant in Uganda. He did not show his identification or warrant before being arrested. Pankaj claimed that corporate and political manipulation led to his daughter's arrest. There is no evidence against him, so he has been held illegally.
According to Pankaj, a former employee had taken a loan of $200,000 with Oswal's family as guarantor. When the Oswal family refused to take the guarantee, he made false allegations against Vasundhara. The man later fled Uganda.

Pankaj Oswal started building a palace like Taj Mahal in Australia. The bungalow costing around $70 million (about Rs 588 crore) was named 'Taj Mahal on the Swan'. Due to non-payment of taxes and violation of building rules, its construction was stopped in 2010 and its demolition was ordered in 2016. They had also spent about 22 million dollars (185 crores) on this.
