Iran's Revolutionary Guard warns of harsh retaliation against Israel

Iran's Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) chief General Hossein Salami warned Israel. He warned of further retaliation if Iran's assets were targeted or attacked. “If you make a mistake and attack any of our targets, be it in any region or Iran, we will hit you hard,” he told Israel. Last month, an Israeli airstrike killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and an IRGC general in Lebanon. Hossein Salami issued a stern warning to Israel after attending his funeral on Thursday (October 17).

He said that the United States is helping Israel with advanced air defense systems. But when Iran retaliates, these defenses will be useless.

He further said, We know your (Israel's) weakness and you yourselves know it. At the beginning of this month, Iran attacked Israel with about 180 ballistic missiles.

Tehran admitted that the attack was carried out on October 1 in retaliation for the killings in Gaza and Lebanon as well as the killing of Hamas, Hezbollah and IRGC commanders.

Immediately after the attack, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that Israel is ready to respond to Iran's attack. Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu has warned that Iran has made a big mistake. It has to pay a heavy price.
