Dhaka: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) administrator said that the ongoing work of the main road of Dakshinkhan and Uttarkhan of the capital will be completed in December. Mahmudul Hassan.

He said this during an exchange with the local people after visiting the ongoing development work in Dakshinkhane of the capital on Tuesday (October 15).

After inspecting the ongoing road and drainage construction work in Daksinkhan area, the administrator of DNCC exchanged views with the local residents. At this time, he listened to the problems of the local residents and directed the concerned department to solve the problem quickly.

Development work is ongoing for permanent sustainable development in this area. People have suffered while doing road and drainage works. This year, it was not possible to continue the work at normal speed due to heavy rains in September and October during monsoon. The suffering of the people of this area will be reduced and the work will be completed quickly by increasing the speed of the work. In this regard, instructions have been given to all concerned with the project. We are fully prepared. The work will be done with utmost importance. '

He said, 'a project has been taken up for overall infrastructure development to ensure all citizen services in the area newly connected to DNCC. This is the first phase of the project. If the project of the first phase is implemented, the project will be taken up again in the next phase. If the ongoing project is implemented, there will be no difference in the citizen services of the old developed areas of DNCC and Dakshinkhan and Uttarkhan areas. '

Addressing the present city dwellers, the DNCC administrator said, 'You can see that Dhaka North City Corporation is working on the construction of wide roads and drainage in this area with the aim of sustainable solutions. Due to permanent extensive works, movement of people is difficult. The current government is committed to ensuring essential services, alleviating your suffering. We have instructions on this from the government. I request you to be patient for a few more days. Work will be progressed at a rapid pace without interruption. I want the cooperation of all of you Our concerned officials will regularly monitor the progress of the work. You local residents will also inform us about any matter and give advice. The service will be ensured according to your needs and suggestions.

In response to a journalist's question about the ongoing activities of DNCC in dengue control, he said, “The regular activities of DNCC in dengue control have been strengthened. The entire area is divided into larviciding in the morning and fogging in the afternoon. Along with the mosquito abatement activities, cleanliness activities are also going on. The whole process is being closely monitored. Although the number of dengue patients in DNCC area is less than last year, we want not even one person to die of dengue. It is raining for a long time this year. Due to this, the incidence of dengue has increased slightly. We are also making people aware. Care must be taken that water does not accumulate anywhere so that the larvae cannot grow. With everyone's collective efforts, we can completely control dengue.
