Arab Finance: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs announced that the Arab Republic of Egypt has decided Eliminate advance visas currently applied to Canadian citizens To travel to Egypt, with the possibility of obtaining a visa upon arrival at Egyptian ports of entry. This is in addition to reactivating the option to apply and obtain a visa electronically (E-VISA).
It is scheduled that these procedures will begin to be implemented as of December 1, 2024 for all Canadian citizens arriving in Egyptian territory starting from that date.
This decision comes within the framework of what was agreed upon during the meeting that brought together Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, with the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Melanie Joly, recently on the sidelines of the activities of the United Nations General Assembly session in New York.
