In such a situation, India has issued a press release replying to Canada, in which it is written that Canada is making serious allegations against Sanjay Verma, he is a senior diplomat of India. Who is Sanjay Verma?
In the year 2022, Sanjay Kumar Verma was appointed as High Commissioner in Ottawa, Canada. For the last two years, he has been holding the responsibility of the post of High Commissioner in Canada. In his 36-year career, Sanjay has been ambassador to Japan, Sudan, Italy, Türkiye, Vietnam and China. After serving as High Commissioner in Sudan, Sanjay also worked as Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary in the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. Before working as High Commissioner in Canada, he had held the responsibility of India's Ambassador to Japan and Marshall Islands.
Talking about his education, Sanjay did graduation from Patna University and then did post graduation in Physics from IIT Delhi.
Who is Vikas Swarup?
In 2017, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup was appointed India's High Commissioner to Canada. Vikas Swarup is a renowned Indian diplomat and author, who has previously held several important positions in the Ministry of External Affairs of India. Vikas Swarup's name is in the news in the situation of tension between India and Canada because he was earlier the Ambassador of India to Canada and at the same time, the Canadian government is making baseless allegations against India.
