NCP leader kicked out in Bogra, expelled from party


A video of a National Citizen Party (NCP) leader being kicked by a shoe in Bogra has gone viral on social media. He was then dismissed from the team and given a show cause notice. The leader is alleged to have misbehaved with the female trainees of the Technical Training Center (TTC).

The name of the freed leader is Ali Azam Sabbir. He is the coordinating member of NCP Shibganj Upazila Coordination Team. In a letter signed by Shaukat Imran, organizing secretary of NCP Bogra district branch last Friday night, he was dismissed from all posts of the party.

In a video circulating on social media, a woman can be seen kicking NCP leader Ali Azam Sabbir.

Investigation revealed that Ali Azam Sabbir is a trainee of driving training course at Bogra Technical Training Center (TTC). He used to speak obscenities on mobile phones to several women who came to train there and sent lewd messages on their phones. Fed up with his behavior, some female trainees locked him in a room of TTC and beat him with shoes around noon on May 24. At this time, Ali Azam apologized to Sabbir.

Technical Training Center (TTC) driving instructor Rashedul Hasan said Ali Azam Sabbir misbehaved with several female trainees. Due to which a female trainee kicked him. Later, Ali Azam Sabbir admitted his guilt and gave a written undertaking. Action will be taken against him as per the decision of the Academy Council after opening the office.

Meanwhile, Shaukat Imran, organizing secretary of NCP Bogra district branch, said, ‘Ali Azam Sabbir has been relieved from all duties and activities of the organization immediately after the complaint came to our attention. He has also been given a show-cause notice with three days to explain his position.’
