Arab Finance – Anchorage Investments is looking to establish petrochemical and mining projects in Egypt


Arab Finance: Engineer Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, held an extensive meeting with a delegation from Anchorage Investments Company, which included Dr. Ziad Bahaa El-Din, Dr. Ahmed Muharram, Executive Director and Managing Director of the company, and Engineer Sherif Zayed, Director of the Company’s Development Department, according to For a statement Issued by the Council of Ministers.

The meeting discussed the introduction of the company, its current investments in the Egyptian market, and its plans to expand these investments during the coming period. The Minister affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to provide all aspects of support to the company in implementing its project and to make available all its capabilities to assist the company in all stages, especially with regard to establishing the project under the private free zone system and obtaining a single approval (golden licence).

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Muharram, Executive Director and Managing Director of Enchorage Investments, said that the company’s project to be implemented will contribute to increasing Egypt’s exports of petrochemicals as well as increasing direct foreign investments, noting that the project aims to produce a group of petrochemical derivatives and products for export to regional and global markets and contribute to meeting some Local market needs.
