After the uproar, the immersion of about 1100 idols was stopped in this area. After the arrest of the accused, the people of Ramlila Committee started immersing the idols.

Actually, an idol immersion procession was taking place from Maharajganj town to Rehua Mansoor village in Hardi police station area of ​​Bahraich, when some people from other community raised objection about the DJ at that place, after which the dispute escalated and stone pelting and firing started. After which the ruckus increased between both the sides. Ram Gopal Mishra (22), resident of Rehua Mansoor village, was injured in this uproar. Later he died during treatment.

The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to identify the miscreants and take strictest action and after communicating with the religious organizations, asked them to get the idol immersed in time. CM Yogi said that administration and police officials should be present on the spot and those whose negligence led to the incident should be identified and action should be taken.
