NCP's Ghazi Salauddin Tanvir is temporarily exempted

Ghazi Salauddin Tanvir, Joint Member Secretary of the National Citizens Party (NCP), has been temporarily exempted from the party. At the same time, a notice to show the reason has been sent. Tanvir was notified in a letter signed by NCP Joint Member Secretary (Office) Saleh Uddin Sifat on Monday night.
The letter states, “You are informed that the report published on March 7 in the National Daily Inquilab has raised allegations of illegal interference with you in the appointment of the Deputy Commissioner and the monthly paper of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB).”
The letter further said, “The convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain have directed the head of the Central Disciplinary Committee to provide appropriate explanation within the next 5 days and why you will not be permanently expelled from the party.”
It further said, “In view of the previous oral warning given to the organizational discipline, the convener from all the responsibilities and activities of the party till the final report of the discipline committee was published. Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain were exempted.
