Ranji Trophy: Chandigarh team lost, Mumbai team on the way to victory, know how was the third day of Ranji Trophy


New DelhiCheteshwar Pujara was out for zero after playing only six balls against Tamil Nadu, leaving Saurashtra trailing Tamil Nadu by 129 runs after losing 35 runs for five wickets in the second innings of the Ranji Trophy Group D match on Sunday. On the third day of the first match of the season, Tamil Nadu's left arm fast bowler Gurjapaneet Singh bowled stormily against Saurashtra, taking four wickets for seven runs from 5 maidens in nine overs.

Whereas in Chandigarh, Railways defeated the host team by 181 runs. Chasing the score of 341 runs, the host team collapsed for 159 runs in 40.2 overs. In another match, Delhi had taken a lead of 14 runs in the first innings but Chhattisgarh scored 33 runs without any loss till stumps on the third day, thereby taking a lead of 19 runs. Earlier, Mukesh Kumar (for 43 runs) and Shahbaz Ahmed (for 96 runs) gave Bengal a lead of 19 runs in the first innings by bowling out the home team for 292 runs.

In Indore, Madhya Pradesh scored 425 runs for eight wickets against Karnataka thanks to Shubham Sharma's unbeaten 143 runs, Harpreet Singh's 91 runs and Saransh Jain's 51 runs. Talking about other matches, in reply to Punjab's 194 runs in the first innings in Thumba, Kerala team was reduced to 179 runs. Mayank Markande took six wickets for 59 runs and Gurnoor Brar took three wickets for 18 runs.
