Bangladesh Hindus would not be allowed to become political tools, declared interim government adviser

Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, sports advisor of the interim government claimed that Hindus have been used for political reasons in Bangladesh. 'But this time it won't happen. Hindus will not be allowed to be political tools', said Asif Mahmud. After the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government, there have been allegations that Hindus are being attacked in various areas in Bangladesh. Apart from the vandalism of Hindu houses, there are also allegations that various temples are being attacked. It is also known that idols were vandalized in several areas even before the Puja. Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser to the interim government of Bangladesh, claimed that some of these incidents happened not for religious reasons but for political reasons.

Interim Government's Youth and Sports Advisor visited Gallamari Harichand Tagore Temple and Bagmara Govind Temple in Khulna on Friday evening. There he said, 'Religion is being used to create communal differences. In the past, various groups have used religion to gain political advantage for their vested interests. But it cannot be allowed to happen anymore. The current interim government will not allow Hindus to become a political tool for anyone else.'

Asif criticized Awami League without naming names. He said, 'In exchange for the blood of the students, people of all religions will live in a harmonious environment.' He urged everyone to be alert to prevent conspiracies to destroy communal harmony.
