Effigies of Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhakarna were burnt on the day of Vijayadashami on Saturday in the historic Gandhi Maidan of Gaya. Ravana Dahan was done in Nawada through Chakraborty Samrat Durga Puja Committee. This time six gates and one emergency gate were built for the movement of devotees. 45 magistrates were deployed at the venue and 60 magistrates were deployed in the entire city. 250 security personnel and police officers were deployed. Magistrates were present in the security of the entire city as well as the fort grounds. Thousands of people were present on this occasion.

On the occasion of Vijayadashami festival in East Champaran district, Ravana Dahan programs are being organized continuously for about 21 years in Nayagaon of Kesariya police station area. A 51 feet effigy of Ravana was burnt on Saturday evening. Where a huge crowd of people had gathered. At the time of burning the effigy of Ravana, everyone clapped and congratulated Vijayadashami and made the whole area echo with slogans of Jai Shri Ram. During this period, strict security arrangements were made by the district administration.
