Police officials say that Prem Sukh Patidar was to be interrogated in the MD drugs case worth Rs 1800 crore. To avoid interrogation, he shot himself at Afzalpur police station and injured himself. SP Abhishek Anand said that the name of Prem Sukh Patidar in the MD drugs case was revealed after the arrest of Harish Anjana. During interrogation, it was revealed that Harish Anjana used to supply MD drugs through Prem Sukh Patidar, resident of Hatunia. After the name was known, the search for Prem Sukh Patidar was started. To avoid being caught by the police, Prem Sukh Patidar absconded. Reached Afzalpur police station premises on Friday afternoon to surrender. During this, he injured himself by shooting himself in the leg.

The firing created a stir in the police station premises. The injured accused has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Doctors have declared the condition to be out of danger. Abhishek Anand told that the accused has taken this step to avoid police interrogation. Police have also recovered illegal weapons from Prem Sukh Patidar. He told that the firing is not going to make any difference to the police. Police have registered another case of possessing illegal weapons.
Mandsaur police will interrogate after discharge
After being discharged from the hospital, strict questioning will be done. Mandsaur Police will send information about the arrest in the drugs case to NCB, Delhi and Gujarat ATS as well as Bhopal Police. Drugs scandal accused Prem Sukh Patidar had even changed his appearance. Even the police officers could not recognize Prem Sukh Patidar after he had shaved his head and came to surrender.
