The Bangladesh High Court on Wednesday acquitted former Prime Minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia in a corruption case. After this, Khaleda Zia reached the American Embassy in Dhaka to complete the US visa application process. Jiah has been suffering from serious liver, heart and eye problems for a long time.
79-year-old Zia was sentenced to five years by the Special Court in the Orphanage Trust corruption case, after which she was sent to Dhaka Central Jail in 2018. On October 30, 2018, the High Court increased his sentence to 10 years. Later, he was convicted and sentenced to seven years in prison in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case.

Jiah's bank account unfreezed after 17 years
Jiah was temporarily released from jail due to Corona. In 2020, her sentence was suspended on the condition that she would remain in her home and not leave the country.
Khaleda Zia's bank account was unfrozen a few months ago. His bank accounts were frozen for 17 years. NBR's Central Intelligence Cell had ordered the freezing of Khaleda Zia's accounts in August 2007.
Protests continue over the release of Chinmay Prabhu
On the other hand, protests are continuing at various places in Bangladesh regarding the arrest of ISKCON religious leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu. The protesters blocked roads in Dhaka, Chittagong and Dinajpur and raised slogans demanding Prabhu's early release. According to media reports, there is a case against Chinmoy Das Prabhu for treason and disturbing communal harmony.
