Arab Finance: Engineer Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, met with Bassel Rahmi, Head of the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise Development Agency, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the ministry and the agency in many fields, according to the statement.
“Al-Khatib” confirmed that he discussed with “Rahmi” ways to support small and medium-sized companies in Egypt, especially companies working in the field of handicrafts and heritage, especially in the field of participation in international exhibitions and conferences, indicating that the meeting discussed ways to facilitate the participation of these companies in international events, including This includes providing the necessary logistical and financial support.
Al-Khatib added that the meeting also discussed efforts to support entrepreneurs and startup companies in Egypt, by providing an encouraging environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, and providing the necessary funding to support their projects, noting the importance of the role of startups and small and medium-sized companies in the Egyptian economy.
Al-Khatib explained that the Ministry pays great attention to enhancing and supporting the role of small and medium-sized companies, by providing the necessary financing and training for their growth and development, as they represent a main focus and an effective participant in economic development, in light of the state’s trend towards enhancing participation between the public sector and the private sector, to push Towards increasing economic growth rates and achieving sustainable development.
