Bangladesh Bank Officers Welfare Council has won absolute victory in the election of Awami League Blue Party. They have won 9 out of 15 posts in the election. Only one candidate from the nationalist BNP-Jamaat Panthi Sabuj party won. On the other hand, independent yellow party won 5 seats.
Recently, this election was held at the head office of Bangladesh Bank. 45 candidates from three parties contested for 15 posts. Most of the 2500 members of Dhaka voted in this election. The total number of members of Bangladesh Bank Officers Welfare Council across the country is about 7 thousand. The large number of voters in the elections and the participation process proves the importance of the organization.

Amitabh Chakraborty has occupied one of the two vice-president posts from the nationalist BNP-Jamaat-backed Green Party. This is the only electoral success for the Green Party.
