Bangladesh team announced to play U-19 Asia Cup


Under-19 Asia Cup will be held at the end of this month. This tournament will be in ODI format. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced a 14-member squad for this tournament. Besides, 4 cricketers have been kept on standby. One of them will again accompany the original squad as a traveling companion.

The BCB announced the squad through a press release on Thursday night. The tournament schedule has already been announced. According to the schedule of the tournament to be held in Dubai and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, the participating teams will be divided into two groups. The top two teams from the two groups will play the semi-finals. After that the final.

Bangladesh is in the 'A' group of the tournament. The remaining teams in this group are Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal. Group 'B' consists of India, Afghanistan, Japan and United Arab Emirates.

Group stage games will start from November 29. The two semi-finals will be held on December 6. And the final on December 8.

Each team will play three matches in the group stage. Bangladesh's first match was on the opening day of the tournament, against Afghanistan. After that Yuvara will play against Nepal on December 1 and against Sri Lanka on December 3.

Bangladesh U-19 Team: Azizul Hakeem Tamim (Captain), Jawad Abrar (Co-Captain), Rifat Baig, Samyun Bashir Ratul, Debashish Sarkar Dewa, Rafiuzzaman Rafi, Rizan Hossain, Al Fahad, Iqbal Hasan Imon, Shihab James, Farid Hasan Faisal , Maruf Mridha, Saad Islam Razin and Ashrafuzzaman Varenya.

On standby are Kalam Siddiqui, Yasir Arafat, Sanjid Majumder and Shahriar Azmir.
