All innovative ideas are peeping in the minds of talented youth from all over the country. Many of them want to do something outside the conventional business lines to solve various local problems. But due to lack of necessary mentoring, resources and opportunities, a large number of promising young people drop out. Grameenphone's GP Accelerator is organizing country-wide 'Zilla Zilla Lay Smart Entrepreneur' bootcamp to encourage these talented youngsters and show them the way to achieve their skills.
The event aims to provide support and guidance in skills acquisition, networking and funding to university students and potential young entrepreneurs. As a part of this, the 17th edition of the Bootcamp was recently held at the National Youth Development Institute in Savar, Dhaka. About 300 entrepreneurs participated in it.
This is being organized step by step in 20 regions across the country. So far 4 thousand 500 entrepreneurs have participated in it.
Since the launch of this program in 2015, GP Accelerator has been making a significant contribution to the country's startup sector. It has created employment opportunities for 5 lakh people through 50 startups. A prize of one lakh taka was given to the winning team in the event.
