Delhi Air Pollution: The air of Delhi-NCR is gradually becoming more poisonous. Amidst the increasing dangers of pollution in the national capital, it has become difficult for people to even breathe. After the pollution level increased to a great extent, GRAP Stage-4 restrictions have been implemented. Many restrictions have been imposed under this.

Let us know what restrictions the people of Delhi-NCR will have to face. Many vehicles have been banned while exemptions will remain for some less polluting vehicles.

Which vehicles are banned in GRAP-4 and which are not?

Entry of trucks has been banned in Delhi since morning and strict pollution control measures have been implemented including suspension of construction work on public projects. However, trucks carrying essential commodities or using clean fuel (LNG/CNG/BS-6 diesel/electric) are allowed to enter Delhi.

Except for CNG and BS-6 diesel vehicles, there will be a ban on non-essential light commercial vehicles registered outside Delhi. It has been said in the order that except for essential services, there will be a ban on BS-4 or older diesel medium goods trains and heavy goods vehicles registered in Delhi.

Currently there is a ban on highway, road and flyover construction

In view of the threat of pollution in Delhi-NCR, all construction activities including highways, roads, flyovers, power lines, pipelines and other public projects under GRAP Stage-4 have been stopped for the time being.

'Work from home' recommended

Along with this, according to the PTI report, the Central Pollution Control Board has recommended to operate offices in NCR only at 50 percent capacity and to allow the rest of the people to do 'work from home'. State governments can also decide to close colleges, limit non-essential commercial activities and implement odd-even rules for vehicles.

online classes in schools

Delhi government has given instructions to directly close all classes in all schools except classes 10th and 12th. It has been suggested to organize online classes.
