The chief adviser said that the government is trying to keep the prices affordable. Muhammad Yunus. He said, 'as a result of floods, crops have been lost in many places, product supply chain has been disrupted. In the post-flood period, prices of daily necessities including vegetables have increased in the market. As a result, you suffered. We are trying our best to keep the prices of daily commodities at a bearable level.'
He said these things in his address to the nation on the occasion of the 100-day anniversary of the interim government.
Chief Dr. highlighting various initiatives of the government to reduce prices. Muhammad Yunus said, “The various authorities of the government are holding regular meetings with the traders to ensure that the supply and prices of daily necessities are normal during Ramadan. We have no secret about the product price. Full information on inflation is being presented to the public.
Stating that several policy decisions have been taken to curb inflation including setting high interest rates, removal of LC limit on grain imports and shortening of supply chain, he said.
