Delhi Police Recovered Kidnapped Child: Delhi Police has safely recovered the 45-day-old child who was kidnapped from Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi from Shahjahanpur Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh. The police have arrested a woman and her companion in this kidnapping case. The name of the arrested accused woman is Mahi Singh alias Sophia and the name of the person involved in the crime is Rohit Kumar.
According to the information, both of them had gone missing after picking up a 45-day-old child from Safdarjung Hospital at around 3:00 pm on Friday (15 November). According to Delhi Police, news of kidnapping of a 45-day-old child was received from Safdarjung Hospital on Friday afternoon.
How did the police catch the accused?
When the police reached the spot, the child's mother told that her husband was undergoing kidney treatment in the hospital. During this time, a woman came to him and coaxed him into talking, took the 45-day-old child in her lap and, taking the opportunity, disappeared with the child. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police immediately formed a team. One team was deployed at the railway station and one team at the bus stand.
CCTV footage revealed
Also, when the CCTV footage of the hospital was scanned, a man and woman were seen sitting in an auto with the child. When the police checked the number of the auto, it came to light from the driver that both of them had alighted from the auto at Anand Vihar railway station. When the police immediately checked the CCTV cameras of Anand Vihar Railway Station, the accused were seen boarding the Sadbhavana Express with the child.
Delhi Police immediately contacted GRP and RPF and informed that the suspects captured in CCTV were with the child.
Kidnappers changed clothes in train
By the time the information was received, the train had reached Bareilly Railway Station. The accused were very clever. He had changed his appearance and clothes in the moving train itself. Railway police started the search operation as soon as they crossed Bareilly railway station. But due to change in appearance and clothes, the Railway Police could not recognize them. But the police got success and arrested the woman and her companion along with a 45-day-old child from Shahjahanpur railway station.
