If illegal or irregular immigration is not stopped, the opportunities for legal immigration will be narrowed, said the foreign adviser. Touhid Hossain. He told reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday (November 17).
Stating that 60,000 passports are stuck in Italy, the foreign adviser said, 'They are stuck because a lot of false documents are given here. Unfortunately, this infamy has become ours. They are willing to take people if they apply with proper documents. But they gave an opportunity to immigrate legally. Therefore, those who seek our assistance in illegal or irregular immigration, should cooperate.'
There is a standard of procedure to bring back those staying illegally and we are bringing them back,” he said, adding, “It is better that we cooperate with them in this regard. Our expatriates have greater interests here. Many possibilities of legal immigration are being created in all European countries including UK. If we can't stop illegal immigration, we won't have access to legal immigration.'
Recovery of laundered money
The government is negotiating with various countries to bring back money smuggled abroad.

He said, 'We are trying to bring back the resources. In fact, we are trying to recover the assets in those countries where we think the assets may have been smuggled.'
