The atmosphere of assembly elections in Maharashtra is heated. Meanwhile, Election Commission officials in Baramati checked Sharad Pawar's bag. Earlier yesterday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's bag was also searched in Amravati. The matter is important because the opposition has been continuously accusing the central government of misuse of central agencies. He has also raised questions on the actions of the Election Commission. Similarly, when the bag of Shiv Sena (UBT) Uddhav Thackeray was checked, the opposition had termed the Election Commission's action as biased.
