Caution not to cross the 'red line'
According to the news agency AFP report, the Chinese President warned Washington in this meeting that the United States should not cross Beijing's “red line” in support of Taiwan.
However, Xi Jinping told Biden in the meeting that Beijing is interested in working with the administration of the next US President Donald Trump.
Trump will take over as the President of the United States on January 20 amid concerns about a new trade war and rising diplomatic tension.
China claims Taiwan as its territory. China has not ruled out using force to occupy Taiwan.
On the other hand, the main security supporter of the self-governing island of Taiwan is the United States. However, Washington does not recognize Taipei diplomatically.
