BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said comparing the Awami League with an African Magur fish, 'Awami League was an African Magur fish, which would eat everything it got. Awami League has smuggled 17 lakh crores of the 18 lakh 60 thousand crore rupees brought to the country from abroad.
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at a meeting held in Barisal's Bakerganj upazila on Saturday afternoon. This meeting was held at Jahangir Hossain Molla Degree College ground of Dudhal Union of Bakerganj Upazila under the initiative of BNP family. This meeting was organized to express sympathy for the families of 31 martyrs of Barisal division in the student-public movement. Earlier, Ruhul Kabir visited the grave of martyr Arifur Rahman Russell in Sundarkathi village of Rizvi Upazila.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, 'Sheikh Hasina is bloodthirsty, she has killed thousands of people to stay in power. Sheikh Hasina considered the country as her father's zamindari. So he killed, disappeared and tortured the opposition. Now he has killed two BNP leaders on the orders of the Awami League leaders and activists even while on the run in India. We must be vigilant to ensure that fascism does not come to power again.'
The senior joint secretary general of BNP said, 'The interim government has promised that they will organize free and fair elections at a certain time. People want that environment so that voters can go to the polling station after 17 years.' He said that reforms should be done for fair elections. But if it is delayed, new questions will arise among people.
Rizvi said, 'The movement has been going on for a month. But the people shed blood for 16 years in the fall of Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina is bloodthirsty. He wants to stay in power even with his life. For the sacrifices people have made through so much struggle, it will not take long to return the power. People want peace, relief from the interim government. No one else can rob here. Never again should the Chhatra League take over anyone's shop or business establishment. The fish of the enclosure cannot occupy the place, the land. It must be ensured that the misrule does not return. Those who killed people by dragging them on the road while in power for 16 years, they should be immediately arrested and tried.'
He said, 'Dr. Yunus needs to be more discerning. Because today open soybean oil is 175 taka, but bottled is 170 taka. This government must take action and stop the syndicate. People expect a lot from the interim government. Arrest those who are doing the syndicate. You will see that the price of rice, the price of pulses, the price of sugar, the price of potatoes will decrease.

At the beginning of the meeting, Rizvi gave gifts to the families of 31 martyrs of Barisal division, expressing respect and sympathy for the martyrs and injured in the mass uprising.
