Islami Andolan Bangladesh Amir Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim said, 'In the last 15 years, the entire public administration has become Awami party cadre. We understand that it is difficult for the government to manage the state in that reality. Still, I am bound to say that even after a hundred days have passed, the interim government's control over the state is not clear. Rather, the weakness is obvious.'
He said this at a press conference organized on Saturday (November 16) at the central office of the old Paltan Islami Andolan on the 100-day activities of the interim government and the ongoing political situation in the country.
Muhammad Rezaul Karim said, “Commodity price deregulation, anarchy in the garment sector, attack on army vehicles in Dhaka, police force not active, traffic system not effective, stagnation in the activities of most ministries are dimming the hope of the nation.”
He said, 'We will advise the government, be firm on those who are still hesitating to accept your leadership or are advocating dictatorship. Throw them away.'
To bring transparency in all appointments, including new advisors, he said, 'The definition of transparency in terms of good governance states that there should be a free and direct flow of all information related to decision-making to those affected by the decision. This means that the people should know who is being appointed under what consideration.
The party's emir said that the people did not accept the newly appointed adviser Mustafa Saryar Faruqi, “the countrymen expect Mustafa Saryar Faruqi, the socially destructive drama-film maker who is the beneficiary of the fallen dictatorship and has a distorted mentality, to be withdrawn from the advisory council soon.”
Amir of the Islamic movement said, 'The main responsibility of this government is to reform the state, so that no dictatorship can ever be born again. That is why the Reform Commission has been formed, for which I am thankful. Now speed up these commissions. Engage the public. Involve political parties. Engage people from different professions and walks of life. There are already whispers among the people about the reforms. These whispers can undermine reforms. So take action now.'
Referring to the trial of Awami League, this Amir said, 'If the fallen Hasina government is not prosecuted for what it has done to the nation, it will be a crime against humanity. But no effective action is seen in this regard.'
He said, “Even after the formation of your government, many ministers, MPs, brokers, public servants, local leaders, Pati leaders, Mastans of the fascist regime got the opportunity to flee the country. Many people are conspiring against the people from hiding in the country. Why they were given a chance to escape, why the criminals in the country are not arrested, this is the question of crores of people. We also present this question strongly. Politely and admonishingly, judge tyranny without any kind of mercy, without compromise.'
At that time, the Emir of Islami Andolan Bangladesh demanded the formation of a National Security Council consisting of political parties who participated in the revolution and anti-discrimination students.
Islami Andolan Bangladesh Senior Presidium Member Principal Syed Muhammad Mosaddeq Billah Al Madani, Secretary General Principal Hafez Maulana Yunus Ahmad, Presidium Member Professor Ashraf Ali Akon, Professor Mahbubur Rahman, Senior Joint Secretary General Maulana Gazi Ataur Rahman, Joint Secretary General Aminul Islam were also present at the press conference. , Engineer Ashraful Alam, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Imtiaz Alam etc.
