North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered mass production of suicide drones. According to him, in the context of the increasing use of such drones in different parts of the world, there is a need to quickly change the military doctrine. This information was reported by the German media outlet Deutsche Welle in a report published by North Korea's state-controlled news agency KCNA on Friday.
According to a report published in KCNA, Kim Jong Un oversaw the testing of drones developed by North Korea's Unmanned Aircraft Technology Complex (UATC). The purpose of these drones is to hit land and sea targets.
At the time, Kim Jong Un urged to build a continuous production system for making suicide drones. He said, 'The full production of these drones should be started as soon as possible.' It should be noted that suicide drones are a type of unmanned aerial vehicle carrying explosives, which are used to intentionally strike enemy targets.
Earlier this month, North Korea again tested an intercontinental ballistic missile. The test was conducted in the presence of the country's leader, Kim Jong-un. According to local media, this is the most powerful missile the country has tested before.
North Korea launched this missile in defiance of UN sanctions. The test comes at a time when relations between the two Koreas are deteriorating. South Korea had earlier warned that North Korea was preparing to test an intercontinental ballistic missile, taking advantage of the approaching US election day.
After the missile test, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said on state television, “This test reflects our willingness to respond to our enemies.” I want to emphasize that the steps we take to strengthen nuclear weapons will never change.' He also described the missile test as a 'proper military action'.
