The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has ordered the seizure of the bank accounts of three people including NRBC Bank Chairman Parvez Tamal.
In a letter sent by the organization on Thursday (November 14), this instruction was given to the managing directors of all scheduled banks.
The other two officers are the former chairman of the bank's executive committee. Adnan Imam and Vice President of Financial Administration Division Zafar Iqbal Howlader.
In the letter addressed to the managing directors of the banks, it is said that if there is any account in your bank in the name of the mentioned persons, instructions have been given to suspend it for the next 30 days.
At the same time, the organization has directed to send the updated statement of transactions till now within the next five days from the date of opening of the accounts held in the name of the interested persons and institutions.
