Bangladesh lost 1-0 to Maldives last night in a friendly match at Bashundhara Kings Arena. The footballers are also disappointed because they could not take advantage of the opportunity. BAFF president Tabith Awal came to the team hotel today to remove the cloud of despair from their minds.
The team manager of the national team, Amer Khan, spoke about Tabith's arrival at the team hotel in Bangladesh. Amer said, “The president came to the team hotel to motivate the players. He exchanged greetings not only with the Bangladesh team, but also with the players and officials of Maldives. That is what the spirit of sport is all about.'
Earlier yesterday, Tabith watched the game at the stadium with some members of the new committee at King's Arena. Buff President was alone in the team hotel for about an hour.
Bangladesh will play the second friendly match against Maldives at King's Arena on Saturday. Javier Cabrera's side hope to turn around in that match.
