The main festival of Kartik Purnima Fair is Purnima Snan on Friday. The crowd of devotees has increased in the monasteries, temples and dharamshalas of the city for taking bath. On the eve of the main festival, there were queues of visitors from the bathing ghat of Saryu to the major temples for darshan and worship. More than 10 lakh devotees are likely to turn up for the Kartik Purnima bath. On the other hand, strict security arrangements have been made. Along with drones, security personnel in plain uniform are keeping an eye on the entire situation.
The auspicious time of Kartik Purnima Snan will start from 4:37 am on 15th November till 2:29 am on 16th November. Kartik Purnima fair is going on along with Chaudhakosi Parikrama fair. The two main festivals of the fair, Chaudhakosi and Panchkosi Parikrama, have been completed safely. The last festival of the fair is Purnima Snan on Friday. Preparations for various religious events in the monasteries and temples of the city are at their peak regarding the main bathing festival. A huge crowd of devotees is gathering for the stories of Shri Ramcharit Manas and Shrimad Bhagwat being played at various places.
Devotees started camping in the monasteries, temples and dharamshalas of the city from Thursday morning itself for the full moon bath. After taking bath in the sacred Saryu at the bathing ghat since morning, a crowd of devotees gathered for darshan and worship at Ramlala, Shri Hanumangarhi, Kanak Bhawan, Nageshwarnath temple and other temples. From the evening, a huge crowd of devotees started appearing on the main roads of the fair area as well as at the monasteries and temples. In view of the huge crowd at the fair, traffic diversion has been implemented since the second hour. Entry of four wheelers and big vehicles has been banned between Shri Ram Hospital and Nayaghat Bandha intersection.
