This time, Southeast Bank, a private commercial organization, awarded the winners. The organization announced this honor by inviting them to their office today. Besides senior officials of the bank, Tabith Awal, president of Bangladesh Football Federation (BAFFE) and some officials were present.
Southeast Bank has awarded each player of the Bangladesh women's football team with 3 lakh taka and each coach with 1 lakh taka for winning for the second time in a row. Apart from the monetary prize, each winning team is given a visa debit card against their bank account that can be used at home and abroad.
Sabina-Tahurara defeated hosts Nepal in the final of the SAFF Women's Championship in Kathmandu on October 30 to win the title. Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, announced a prize of 1 crore rupees for them after returning home with that trophy. According to that promise, the ministry handed over a check of 3 lakh 12 thousand 500 rupees to each of 32 people (players and officials) on November 11.
In this direction, the new committee of Bafuf also announced a cash prize of one and a half crores. Amirul Islam Babu, the Chairman of the Media Committee of BAFUF, said in front of the journalists that as soon as possible, they will collect the prize money and hand it over to the girls. Along with BAFF, BCBO also announced a cash prize of Tk 20 lakh for the girls.
