New Delhi. After changing its head coach for IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals has also changed its bowling coach. Delhi Capitals on Tuesday appointed Munaf Patel as their bowling coach for the next season of the Indian Premier League. Munaf Patel, 41, will work with the team's head coach Hemang Badani and director of cricket Venugopal Rao.
Munaf, who retired from professional cricket in 2018, will take up the responsibility of coaching for the first time in his career. He replaces James Hopes who left the franchise along with head coach Ricky Ponting after IPL 2024.
Munaf Patel has represented India in all formats. He played 86 international matches and took 125 international wickets. He was part of India's World Cup-winning team in 2011 and also won the IPL twice with Rajasthan Royals (2008) and Mumbai Indians (2013).
Delhi Capitals have retained four players Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Tristan Stubbs and Abhishek Porel for the upcoming season.
