Bangladesh won the Youth Asia Cup title for the first time last year thanks to Mahfuzur Rahman Rabbi-Ashikur Rahman Shiblis. The U-19 continental showdown begins again in the United Arab Emirates on November 29.

8 teams will play in two groups in the 10th edition of the Youth Asia Cup. Group 'A' has India, Pakistan and Japan along with the current runners-up UAE. Pakistan was eliminated from the semi-finals of the last Youth Asia Cup after losing to the Emirates. India went out losing to Bangladesh.

Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Nepal are with the champion Bangladesh in Group 'B'. It can also be called the 'death pit' in the group stage. Bangladesh will take the field in the opening match of the tournament at the Dubai International Stadium. Their first match is against Afghanistan on November 29.

Bangladesh will play their second match against Nepal on December 1. They will play their third and last match against Sri Lanka in the group stage on December 3. All the matches of the tournament will be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Dubai International Stadium. On December 6, there will be two semi-finals at two venues. The final will be held in Dubai on December 8.
