Economic Reporters Forum (ERF), one of the largest organizations in the economic sector, and Digital Financial Service of Bangladesh Post Department have jointly awarded 19 best journalists of the country. They were felicitated for their contribution to journalism on the country's financial sector through a grand ceremony.
The 'ERF-Nagad Best Reporting Award-2023' program recognizes the best of the country's best economic reports of the last year. At the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, the chief guest of the program presented the award to the best reporters, the chief guest of the program was Bangladesh Government's Finance Advisor, Renowned Economist Salehuddin Ahmed, special guests were Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H Mansoor and Cash Management Board Chairman KAS Murshid.
Administrator of Nagad Limited, Muhammad Badiuzzaman Didar along with board members of Nagad, renowned journalists, policy makers and scholars from various fields were present.
In 17 different categories, 19 outstanding reports contributing to the financial sector published in 2023 were selected for the award. Of these, four jointly won the award in two categories.
Fakhrul Islam Haroon (Pratham Alo), Zebun Nessa Alo (The Business Standard), Rajeev Ahmed (Pratham Alo), Iqbal Hasan (Channel Twenty-four), Mohammad Ismail Ali (Dainik Sharebiz), Ahsan Habib Russell (The Daily Star) won the award. , Babu Kamruzzaman (News 24), Obaidullah Roni (Dainik Samakal), Sadrul Hasan (UNB), Daulat Akhtar Mala (The Financial Express), Tauhid Hossain Papon (Jamuna Television), Md. Shafiqul Islam (Dhaka Post), Sajjadur Rahman (The Business Standard), Arifur Rahman (Prthom Alo), Salah Uddin Mahmud (The Business Standard), Ziadul Islam (Our Time) and Mohammad Jahangir Shah Kajal (Prthom Alo).
ERF President Refayet Ullah Mirdha presided over this grand event. Besides, General Secretary of ERF Abul Kashem gave a welcome speech through the introduction of the panel of the organization.
