Russia will not congratulate Trump

Russia has no plans to congratulate newly elected US President Donald Trump. The Russian President's office, the Kremlin, has given this information amid speculation that relations between the two countries will improve during the Trump era.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov spoke about this in a briefing on Wednesday. He said he was not aware of any plans to congratulate Trump and that his country's relationship with the United States is currently very poor.

Tass quoted Dmitry Peskov as saying that it is virtually impossible for US-Russia relations to worsen. Because, already existing relations between the two countries are at the lowest level in history. But the next US administration has an opportunity to change its stance on dialogue with Russia.

“President Putin has repeatedly stated that he is open to a constructive dialogue with the United States based on justice, equality and mutual respect,” the Kremlin spokesman said. His position remains the same. But the current US administration is in the opposite position. Let's wait and see what happens next January.'

Meanwhile, Iran has said that the results of the US presidential election are not a special issue for Tehran. However, the future Trump administration may impose more sanctions on Iran.

Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani told reporters that Tehran does not see any difference between Trump and his election rival Kamla Harris. In his words, 'We have nothing to do with the US presidential election. The general policy of America and Iran is fixed and determined.

Mohajerani said, 'It doesn't matter who will be the president in the United States. Iran is ready to face any new sanctions. Sanctions have hardened Iran for more than five decades, and we have the ability to counter sanctions. We are not worried about Trump's re-election.'

In addition to Iran, Trump's regime could be worse for the Palestinians, said Omar Rahman, a researcher on international relations at the Middle East Council, a Doha-based organization.

He said the Palestinians had a difficult four years during Trump's presidency. But this time could be worse because of Israel's war. In particular, the fear of the residents of the West Bank will increase. Occupying Israel will bring the Gaza genocide to the West Bank, they fear.
