Rajasthan News: The case of death of 14-year-old tiger T-86 in Ranthambore National Park of Sawai Madhopur has heated up. Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Tikaram Julie has demanded from the state government to conduct a judicial inquiry into the incident. He also raised questions on the forest department's ignorance for 24 hours of the killing of the tiger in Ranthambore National Park. Tikaram Julie described the formation of a three-member committee of the Forest Department on behalf of the Chief Wildlife Warden as inadequate. Tikaram Julie also demanded a judicial inquiry into the disappearance of thirty-five tigers from different wildlife sanctuaries of the state.

He said that considering the seriousness of the matter, it is necessary to conduct an investigation by a High Court judge. Leader of Opposition also raised questions on the silence of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Union Forest and Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav. He has asked why both the leaders are maintaining silence on the sensitive issue. He said that killing the tiger has no importance. The silence of the Chief Minister and the Union Minister is surprising. He said that tiger protection is equally important with human protection. There is a need to get to the bottom of the causes of human-tiger conflict.
Leader of opposition demanded a judicial inquiry from the government
The Leader of Opposition said that it is possible to protect the wild animals and the villagers living within the sanctuaries. Therefore, the state government should immediately issue orders for a judicial inquiry. The death under suspicious circumstances of tigress RVT-2 in Bundi's Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve a few days ago should also be made a part of the judicial inquiry. Julie said that the skeleton of tigress RVT-2 was found twenty days after her death in Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve. The forest department had failed to find the body of the missing tigress despite being radio-collared.
