A lot of messages are exchanged on WhatsApp every day for personal or corporate purposes. It is difficult to get a quick message at work with so many messages. Considering this inconvenience of the user, WhatsApp brought the feature of creating 'custom list'. The feature allows you to categorize chats into different groups according to your personal preferences. As a result, important messages can be determined easily.
It is basically an improved version of the chat filter feature. About the feature, the company said in a blog post, users can organize chats in favorite categories by creating new lists. Lists can be created by family, office or neighborhood names. Lists help you focus on important things.
The process of creating a custom list is very simple. To create a custom list, go to the chat tab of WhatsApp. Then tap on the '+' icon in the upper filter bar. Now type the name as per your preference for the list. Like the Favorites feature, users can keep group and single chats in this list. Later this list can be edited as desired.
Once the list is created it will be in the filter bar above. Tapping on each list name will reveal the chat threads in that list.
Apart from this, messaging platform WhatsApp has brought 'Manage Contact' feature for phone number management. This feature will allow you to save contacts or phone numbers within the app. As a result, even if the phone is lost, the necessary contacts will not be lost.
WhatsApp contacts can be deleted or saved from any device. Contacts can be organized using WhatsApp web version and Windows app. Users can now save contacts only in WhatsApp, which will be separate from the device's contact list.
WhatsApp recently crossed 100 million users in the US. And worldwide this number is about 200 million.
