Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated Donald Trump as he came close to winning the US presidential election. Abhinandan Barta termed Trump's victory as a 'historic comeback'.
In a message posted on X, Netanyahu called Trump's return to the White House “a new beginning for America” and a renewed commitment to stronger Israel-US relations.
Netanyahu also wrote, “Your historic return is a new beginning for America and a strong recommitment to the historic alliance between Israel and America.” This is a huge victory!
The US media has not yet announced the winner based on its own tally. Counting of votes is still going on. According to AP calculations, Trump needs only 3 more electoral votes to become president. However, Trump has already declared himself the winner.
Trump's administration has implemented several supportive policies for Israel. Such as moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Israel's capital, recognizing Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights and playing a role in normalizing Israel's relations with some countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
Netanyahu once called Trump Israel's greatest friend.
